HAPPY FACED MOUNTAIN BIKE TOWELS

The Quick-Dry Towel Built for Dirty Bike Rides

Sweat. Dirt. Mud. Chain grease. Dust. Questionable lines. A good mountain bike towel handles all of it without taking over your pack or becoming a damp brick by the end of the ride.

QUICK DRY LIGHTWEIGHT ULTRA ABSORBENT PACKS SMALL ART BY REAL HUMANS

Happy Faced towels are made for the part of mountain biking nobody puts in the highlight reel. The sweat, the mud, the filthy hands, the wet gear, and the moment you're standing beside your car wondering how much of the trail you're about to bring home with you.

QUICK ANSWER

What makes a good mountain bike towel?

A good mountain bike towel should be quick-drying, lightweight, absorbent, and small enough that you'll actually bring the damn thing.

That's why our Skate Towel, Small, and Medium all make sense for riding, just for different jobs.

The magnetic Skate Towel is the tiny on-ride option. Small gives you more useful towel without eating up your pack. Medium is the post-ride move when you want enough coverage to actually dry yourself off, change, or keep the inside of your car from becoming part of the trail system.

  • Wipes away sweat, dirt, mud, and trail grime
  • Useful for faces, hands, glasses, helmets, shoes, gear, and bikes
  • Packs small enough for riding bags and vehicles
  • Dries faster than a bulky traditional cotton towel
  • Three useful sizes depending on how much rectangle you actually need

WHAT IT IS

Your jersey isn't a towel.

Technically it can be. So can a sock. We're just trying to improve your options. Happy Faced towels are lightweight, quick-drying, absorbent, packable, and useful enough to earn the space they take up.

Quick Dry Tech

Dries fast so yesterday's ride doesn't become today's biological experiment at the bottom of your gear bag.

Lightweight & Packable

Easy to stash in a hydration pack, backpack, gear bag, trunk, van, or wherever your increasingly ridiculous collection of bike stuff lives.

Ultra Absorbent Microfiber

Handles sweat, rain, muddy hands, wet gear, post-ride cleanup, and the mysterious amount of moisture one human can apparently produce on a climb.

Three Useful Sizes

Tiny and magnetic, compact and versatile, or enough towel for a proper post-ride dry-off. Pick the amount of rectangle your ride actually requires.

Actually Built for Use

Made for repeat rides, repeat washes, dirty gear, sweaty humans, road trips, and people who don't keep their outdoor stuff pristine.

Art That Belongs There

Artist-designed by real humans because mountain bike gear already has enough black, gray, camouflage, and logos trying very hard to look aggressive.

WHY PEOPLE ACTUALLY USE IT

Because dirt is kind of the whole point.

01

Sweat Control

Face. Hands. Neck. Helmet hair. Wipe yourself down before you become one with the salt crust.

02

Trailside Cleanup

Dirt, mud, chain grease, spills, scrapes, wet hands, and whatever else happened back there.

03

Bike + Gear

Wipe down bars, frame, saddle, shoes, glasses, goggles, tools, or anything else that got properly baptized.

04

Post-Ride Damage Control

Dry off, change clothes, protect the car seat, clean the dog, then pretend this was all part of the plan.

THE ACTUAL THING

Simple idea. Useful as hell.

Soft fast-drying microfiber, packable sizing, original artwork, and enough absorbency to deal with the weird little disasters that follow bicycles into the woods.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT

A bath towel belongs in a bathroom.

A regular cotton towel works fine until you have to carry it, get it wet, pack it away, or discover it three hours later slowly developing its own ecosystem.

REGULAR COTTON TOWEL
  • Bulky before it even gets wet
  • Gets heavier after use
  • Takes longer to dry
  • Eats up valuable pack and gear-bag space
  • Usually gets left in the car because bringing it is annoying
HAPPY FACED TOWEL
  • Quick-dry performance microfiber
  • Lightweight and easy to pack
  • Ultra absorbent without the cotton bulk
  • Multiple sizes that make sense for riding
  • Original artwork by independent artists

ARTIST-DESIGNED

Useful gear doesn't have to look boring as hell.

Every drop starts with artwork by real humans. The towel has a job to do, but that doesn't mean it needs to look like a promotional giveaway from an insurance company.

THE WILD CARD

We made it for skateboarders. Bikers figured it out too.

Our Skate Towel was originally built for long skate sessions, but it turns out mountain bikers have sweaty hands, dirty gear, and backpacks too.

At just 20" × 20", it's the smallest towel we make. It dries fast, weighs almost nothing, and has a built-in N52 neodymium magnet in a silicone housing sewn right into the towel.

Pair it with our Magnetic Towel Holder and clip it to a backpack, belt loop, or gear bag so it's easy to grab instead of buried underneath six energy wrappers and a multitool.

If you mostly need a towel for sweat, hands, glasses, quick trail cleanup, and keeping something useful within grabbing distance, this little bastard makes a surprising amount of sense on a bike.

SIZE 20" × 20" WEIGHT 4.7 OZ MAGNET N52 BEST FOR ON THE RIDE

PICK YOUR WEAPON

Three towels. Three different jobs.

You don't need the biggest towel. You need the right amount of towel for wherever you're going to put the thing.

Large is a great towel. We make it. We like it. We just wouldn't make it our first choice for a hydration pack unless your hydration pack is secretly a duffel bag.

Need the full rectangle-based breakdown? Use our towel size guide, read the small towel guide, or compare it with the medium towel guide.

Why The Skate Towel Hits

Twenty inches square, lightweight, magnetic, and just enough towel for sweat, hands, glasses, gear, quick cleanup, and keeping something useful within grabbing distance.

Why Small Hits

Small gives riders more usable coverage without hauling around a bunch of unnecessary towel. Sweat, hands, face, glasses, gear, bike cleanup, spills, mud, and emergency nonsense. Done.

Why Medium Hits

Medium gives you enough coverage for actual post-ride drying and changing, while still packing down smaller than the bulky cotton towel that's been living in your trunk since 2019.

FAQ

Questions people ask before bringing a towel mountain biking.

What size towel is best for mountain biking?
It depends on the job. The 20" × 20" magnetic Skate Towel is the most compact option for sweat, hands, glasses, and quick trail cleanup. Small gives you more coverage while staying easy to pack. Medium is better for full-body drying, changing, showers, road trips, and post-ride cleanup.
Are Happy Faced Skate Towels good for mountain biking?
Yep. We originally designed them for skateboarding, but the compact 20" × 20" size, quick-dry microfiber, built-in N52 magnet, and optional Magnetic Towel Holder make them surprisingly useful for mountain biking too. They're especially good for sweat, hands, glasses, gear, and quick trail cleanup.
Why carry a towel while mountain biking?
Because mountain biking creates an impressive amount of sweat, dirt, mud, water, chain grease, spills, and general filth. A compact towel gives you something useful for yourself, your gear, your bike, and whatever has to survive the ride home.
Is microfiber good for mountain biking?
Yes. Performance microfiber works well for riding because it is lightweight, absorbent, quick drying, and much easier to pack than a bulky cotton towel.
Can I carry a Happy Faced towel in a backpack or hydration pack?
Yes. The Skate Towel and Small are especially good when space matters. The Skate Towel is the smallest option at 20" × 20", while Small gives you more coverage at 40" × 20" without taking over your pack.
What does the magnet in the Skate Towel do?
The Skate Towel has an N52 neodymium magnet built into the towel. You can use it with compatible metal surfaces or pair it with our Magnetic Towel Holder so the towel can stay clipped to a bag, belt loop, or gear setup instead of getting buried when you need it.
Can I use the towel to wipe down my bike and gear?
Absolutely. Use it for dirty hands, wet handlebars, frames, saddles, shoes, helmets, glasses, goggles, tools, or other gear that needs a quick cleanup before it goes back into the car.
Why not just use a regular cotton towel?
You can. Cotton towels work. They're also bulkier, get heavier when wet, and generally take longer to dry. A quick-dry microfiber towel makes more sense when you actually have to carry your gear around.

FINAL WORD

Ride dirty. Bring a towel.

Magnetic, quick drying, lightweight, packable, and built for sweat, dirt, mud, gear, post-ride cleanup, and getting your filthy ass back into the car.
