Hunter Blaze Pearson is a fine artist and designer who was born, raised and remains based in Southern California.

The region’s mix of pop culture, music, fashion, street-level creativity and polished commercial design forms part of the environment surrounding his work.

IT STARTED WITH THE SHOES

Hunter first became widely known for his custom-painted shoe work.

The detailed, one-of-a-kind pieces attracted high-profile clients including Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo.

REGULAR SHOES HAD THEIR CHANCE.

FROM FOOTWEAR TO THE MAIN STAGE

After seeing Hunter’s custom work, Adam Levine hired him to design concert merchandise for Maroon 5.

That opportunity led to additional design projects for organizations including Ultimate Ears, Jack Daniel’s and Happy Faced.

THE FINE ART COMES FIRST

While his commercial design work reaches a broad audience, Hunter’s primary focus remains fine art.

He creates pop-art paintings and large-scale multimedia works that combine highly controlled technique with bold materials and recognizable cultural imagery.

PENCIL, PAINT AND RESIN

Hunter works across acrylic paint, colored pencil and resin.

He is especially recognized for his photorealistic pencil work, which he layers with acrylic and resin to create pieces with depth, gloss, texture and visual tension.

WHERE LIGHT MEETS DARK

Hunter uses contrasting materials and imagery to examine the lighter and darker aspects of life.

Rather than keeping those forces separate, he explores where they overlap and how their collision can become the foundation for something unexpectedly beautiful.
